Frequently Asked Questions
How long do lash extensions last?
Most clients go 3–5 weeks between fills. Retention depends on your home care routine, sleeping habits, skin type, and natural lash shedding cycle. Staying on a consistent schedule and arriving before you are sparse keeps your set looking its best.
What are lash extensions made of?
Our extensions are made from a lightweight, flexible synthetic material that holds its curl and is tapered like a real natural lash. They are cruelty-free — no real mink or animal hair is used.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
When properly applied and cared for, lash extensions can be worn for years without damage to natural lashes. All Beautique artists are Lash Safety Certified and use proper isolation technique to protect the health of your natural lashes at every appointment.
Can I have a reaction to lash extensions?
As with all cosmetic adhesives, reactions are possible. If you have sensitivities to Band-Aids, adhesives, or latex, we recommend a patch test ($30) before your full set. We apply three lashes per eye with different adhesives and monitor for any reaction. We do have a sensitive adhesive option.
What is the difference between Classic, Hybrid, and Volume lashes?
Classic lashes place one extension on each natural lash for a natural, mascara-like look. Volume uses handmade fans of 2–6 ultra-lightweight extensions per lash for dramatic softness and fullness. Hybrid combines both techniques for a textured, fuller-than-classic but softer-than-volume result — the most popular choice for first-time clients.
Which fill should I book?
If you have a Classic or Volume set, choose a timed fill (45, 60, or 75 minutes) based on how full your lashes are and how long it has been since your last appointment. If you have a Hybrid set, book a Hybrid Fill. If you are unsure, book a 60 minute fill — it is the most common choice and covers most maintenance needs.
Can I swim or get my lashes wet?
Avoid all moisture for the first 12 hours after application. After that, you can swim in both salt and chlorine water — we recommend washing your lashes as soon as possible afterward. Wearing goggles protects your lashes and improves retention.
Do you offer lash education or training?
Yes! Owner Leah Lynch runs a national lash training academy for licensed professionals. Visit lashmasteryonline.com for information on lash education and certification programs.
